• There will be a prayer meeting after the Chinese worship service every Sunday. If you would like to participate, please gather in the chancel area of the sanctuary. There are yellow prayer request cards at the back of the pew. Please write your prayer request and place it in the offering plate or give it to an usher for the Prayer Team and Pastor.
• The Nominating Committee is inviting candidates to take up the nominated position in the committee to serve the Lord. Please kindly accept the invitation if you are being called. Thank you.
• We will have the Joint Choir singing on the Joint Chinese Thanksgiving Sunday (11/19). The Joint Choir will be conducted by Mrs. Celia Kan. Every one is welcome. Please us to practice on every Sunday, starting from 10/8, from 12:30—1:30 pm in the Sanctuary.
• The Membership Committee will meet on 11/5, at 1:00 pm. in the chapel. Members are Mr. James Huang, Mrs. Betty Chia, Mrs. Fern Lau, Ms. Fung Ling Ho, Mrs. Betty Chu, Mrs. Dianne Wong, Miss Stephanie Tam, Mrs. Esther Huang, Miss Amy Li, Mrs. Donna Yee and Rev. Ernest Kan.
• The Mission Committee invites you to support the ‘Operation Christmas Child’ to pack Christmas presents for the 3rd World children who needs your help. If you want to donate the gifts to fill the box or boxes, please give your generous donation to Eugene.
• We are going to replace our old steel chairs and tables with much lighter ones. You are welcome to take them back home if you want to get some after register with the Board of Trustees members. After November, we will donate them to our sister United Methodist Church.
• We will have the Joint Choir singing on Christmas Sunday. The Joint Choir will be conducted by Mrs. Celia Kan. Please join the rehearsal every Sunday, from 12:30 – 1:30 pm in the Sanctuary. 
• The Administrative Board will meet on Sunday, 11/19, at 1:00 pm in the Chapel.
• The National Chinese Caucus will host the 2017 Convocation at the Shepherd of the Hill United Methodist Church in Monterey Park, LA from 11/10-12. The registration form is available in the library. The Chinese Caucus of the Cal-Nev Annual Conference will provide you with the scholarship. For details, please see the flyer in the library. The theme is ‘Vital Congregation: 20 years from Now’. Rev. Ernest Kan is invited to be one of the speakers at the convocation.

• We are collecting donation to support the hurricane victims. Please write down ‘Charity Fund—Hurricane Victims’ on the envelopes. Please write check payable to ‘CUMC’. Donation will then collected and send to the UMCOR to help the victims.
• Nominating Committee will meet today at 1:00 PM in the 3/F. Members of the committee are Ms. Christie Ng, Mrs. Miranda Wong, Mrs. Donna Yee, Mrs. Gayle Kong, Miss Katrina Sun, Mrs. Holly Yee, Mrs. Dianne Wong, Mr. James Huang, Mrs. Josephine Wong and Rev. Ernest Kan (Chair).
• The Methodist Fellowship will meet today in the Chapel from 2:00 to 3:30 pm. Members please come.

• All committees are reminded to submit a 2018 budget request to the Finance Committee before 10/22 for approval before submit to the Church Council for approval.
• The Finance Committee will meet on Sunday, 10/22, at 1:00 pm. in the chapel. Members are Mr. Eugene Wong, Mr. Edward Wong, Mr. Brendan Huang, Mr. Thomas Li, Mrs. Adrienne Lieu, Mr. Joe Yee, Mrs. Junie Collins, Mrs. Kathy Lau and Rev. Ernest Kan.

• We will host the Mid-Autumn Festival in our church on 10/1 from 2:00 – 4:00 pm. We want to outreach to the community and preach the gospel to them. We will have game booths like, art, ping pong ball in the bucket, rings in the bottle, marble in water with chopsticks, snack & drink, etc. For details and volunteering, please contact Mr. Edward Wong. Please pray and invite your family and friends to come.

• We would like to thank Mr. Warren Tam for sharing God’s message today. May the Lord reward him.
• Rev. Ernest Kan is invited to officiate the pastor ordination Service at Toronto Chinese Methodist Church in Canada. Pastor Kan and Mrs. Celia Kan flew to Toronto on Friday and will be back to the Bay Area on Tuesday. May the Lord watch over their trip.

• Only July 8th, from 5:30 – 9:00pm, we shall have a Grad Night in honor of Class of 2017. Come and celebrate our graduates this year as they move on to their next phase in life. Please let Joshua Wong know if you are coming by July 1st as we need a headcount for food and seating. Parents of graduates are cordially invited.
• The Sunday School will have the Promotion Sunday on July 9 at 10:00am at Social Hall. Parents are invited to come and to support your children. We will have the Combined Chinese Sunday Service at 11:00am.
• The English Missions Committee will meet today at 2:00pm in the 4th floor.
• The Methodist Fellowship Group will meet today in the Chapel at 2:00pm. Members please come.
• The Bishop together with her cabinet appointed Rev. Ernest Kan back to our church.
• As a result of traffic rearrangement caused by the Pride Parade. Ms. Monica Le cannot come to the church to prepare our lunch. Therefore, the Luncheon Fellowship is going to be postponed later. Sorry for the inconvenience.
• There is a hearing on the opening of medical marijuana outlet (MCD) at 2505 Noriega Street in San Francisco. We have members living in tis area who might be affected by this presence. The Chinese Christian Union has learnt about this issue and would encourage member churches to voice out our view on these. Please use the information inserted in this program to voice your concern.
